This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect visitor information in the GhLA Patron Tracker App ("Application"). By using the Application, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application.
The GhLA Patron Tracker App is operated for the Ghana Library System to support visitor registration and management across participating library branches.
This policy applies to all visitor data captured and stored locally on the device running the Application. No data is transmitted to remote servers unless you separately back up or export the data.
We collect only the information required to register and manage visitors:
The Application does not request or store email addresses, passwords, or payment information. We do not collect analytics or location data.
Register and manage library visitors across branches.
Track visitor check-in and check-out status.
Provide statistics and reports on visitor activity within the app.
Support record search by name, phone, or ID.
All data is stored locally on the Device using SQLite. The Application does not transmit visitor data to external servers or third parties. If you back up your Device or export data (e.g., CSV/PDF), those backups or exports may leave the Device; manage them securely.
We do not sell or share visitor data with third parties. Data remains on the Device unless you choose to export, back up, or otherwise transfer it. If you intentionally share exported files, you are responsible for their handling.
No other device permissions are requested.
Visitor records remain on the Device until you delete them within the Application or uninstall the Application. Uninstalling the Application may remove locally stored data from the Device (subject to your OS behavior and backups).
We rely on the Device's operating system security and SQLite storage. While we take reasonable steps to keep data secure on the Device, no method of storage is fully secure. Protect Device access with strong authentication and restrict who can use the Application.
Update or delete visitor records from within the Application.
Removing the Application may delete locally stored data on the Device (depending on OS and backups).
If you export or back up data, secure those copies; they are outside the Application's control.
The Application is intended for library visitor registration and is not designed for children under 13 to use independently. If you believe a child's data has been recorded inappropriately, please request deletion using the contact details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted within the Application or accompanying release notes when feasible.
